Fourteen intrepid Buckeyes met on a glorious April Saturday morning at Seattle’s iconic beach park on Puget Sound, Golden Gardens Park. They donned the eye catching Buckeye Volunteer tees and set to work. The tools and training were provided by Friends of Golden Gardens Park. Together they dug and clawed at the earth removing invasive species and blackberries for the most part. They piled the weeds onto tarps and hauled them away. The 3 hour commitment was a lot of work, but they were proud to be a part of Ohio State’s Month of Giving. Their work will help return the forest to a more natural ecosystem and restore this beautiful park.
